A 30 acre expansion that includes general construction, general alterations, general demolition, clearing and grubbing, erosion controls, roads, paving, walks, site preparation, grading, drainage and storm sewer work, earthwork, landscaping, irrigation, site furnishings, fencing, signage, demolition and certain other items. This project includes 7,300 double depth crypts, a 5,500 columbarium niche complex, 110 memorial wall markers, construction of two new committal shelters and a new honor guard building, as well as renovations to the existing Administration Building.

The entire scope of this expansion project included site development of approximately 90 acres for cemetery expansion, as well as improvements of existing features and facilities. Work included the construction of over 8,000 linear feet of roadway, repair and paving of existing roadways, the supply of 28,000 concrete crypts, installation of 33,000 concrete crypts, including triple and oversized units, construction of a complete columbarium complex containing 4,836 columbarium niches, renovations to the existing administration and maintenance facilities, renovations to seven committal shelters, a new guard booth, new signage, vase stations, benches, watering stations, as well as irrigation and landscaping throughout the entire expansion area.

This project included general construction, alterations, over 2,500 ft of new roadway, two new committal shelters, walks, 4,584 columbaria niche complex, 5,700 pre-placed crypts, grading, drainage, mechanical and electrical work, utility systems, miscellaneous specialties, landscaping, irrigation and irrigation source systems. G&C designed & installed a coffer dam with new bracketing system and used a vacuum system to remove ten feet of existing silt from intake structure. While using extreme safety measures, we cleaned the intake housing and installed the trash rack and installed a new Sefar fabric mounted to the top of the intake structure. All intake work was completed by G&C Fab-Con.

Construction of 2,400 pre-cast concrete columbarium niches, colored flatwork concrete, stone veneer on units, erection of precast architectural caps, cast medallion wall section markers, removal of existing irrigation system, installation of new irrigation system, six vase & hydrant stations, and landscaping of all disturbed areas including planting 70 new pine trees native to the area.

DAYTON NATIONAL CEMETERY

This was a design build project that included an upper parking area 150' x 150' with 175' of paved roadway and an 85' x 24' employee parking area. A historic guard house renovation including complete re-pointing of the existing masonry veneer, newly designed handicap ramp with railing, new heating & air conditioning system, new electrical service, new plaster applied to the entire interior, door repairs, new windows with hardware, new pine flooring, paint and related work. Finally, we constructed a new 3-bay service and wash-bay structure with three 12' x 24' storage bin units.
