Apprenticeship is an industry-driven, high-quality career pathway where employers can develop and prepare their future workforce, and individuals can obtain paid work experience, classroom instruction, and a portable, nationally-recognized credential.

Vetrest and Rebuilding Warriors
G&C Fab-Con is a proud contributor to both non-profit initiatives. Vetrest provides veterans the opportunity to farm in safe environments so that they may grow healthy food for our nation with chapters coast to coast. Vetrest also provides Veterans Forum which is a weekly online radio station that discusses issues impacting todays veterans. It deals with issues of homelessness, PTSD, the VA, and just about anything in between. Rebuilding Warriors provides highly trained and socialized Service/Companion Dogs to Veterans diagnosed as Amputees as well as with PTSD, (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) and TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury). Most of the dogs are bred especially for this mission and have a highly sought after demeanor. These dogs are provided to Honorably Discharged Veterans from any branch of the Armed Forces or from any service era meeting the eligibility standards as well as First Responders.

LEED/Commissioning

Besides being mandated by Executive Order and the Energy Policy Act, commissioning is an integral part of the construction process. It not only ensures the success of a project but is simply a good business practice as well. The process requires open communication and collaboration between the VA and all interested parties and G&C Fab-Con ensures that this occurs on projects. A qualified LEED Coordinator/Commissioning Agent is provided to coordinate all commissioning with the VA and fully participates in each stage of the construction, turnover and warranty periods.

G&C Fab-Con understands that the commissioning process is an integral part of complying with various energy and sustainable mandates, while ensuring the building performance requirements are met and quality control plans are implemented. G&C Fab-Con is very familiar with the VA’s LEED and commissioning requirements from a number of past VA projects, and most recently a project at the Cape Canaveral National Cemetery (CCNC) was awarded a construction excellence peer review and achieved LEED Silver Certification for both the CCNC maintenance complex and CCNC administration building.
