Construction Timeframe: 2015 – 2017

Development of a 96-acre site for a new national cemetery including general construction, clearing and grubbing, erosion controls, roads, paving, walks, site preparation, storm and sewer work, landscaping placement and maintenance, turf placement and maintenance, irrigation, site furnishing, fencing, signage, flag assembly area, ossuary, three memorial walls, new entrance area, new administration building/PIC, maintenance plaza including main building and honor guard area. Approximately 25% of the work was self-performed including the installation of 17,700 interment sites comprised of 7,553 preplaced crypts, 6,800 columbarium niches, 2,752 in ground urn crypts, and 162 oversize crypts, all earthmoving, grading and drainage for six crypt fields. Additional work included 383 private plots and an early turnover area within 12 months of notice to proceed. Project followed LEED guidelines and has been awarded LEED Silver Certification.
